K-LaserUSA at the 2010 Florida Chiropractic Annual Convention |
|
The 2010 Florida Chiropractic Association Annual Convention was held August 27-29 at the Gaylord Palms Convention Center in Kissimmee, FL. This event is recognized as the largest and most prestigious in the Chiropractic Industry.
For the third year in a row, K-LaserUSA was awarded the 'Best Display Award' and recognized by many attendees as the best booth on the expansive exhibit floor. The 500 square foot booth had areas for laser display, video presentations, boot promotion and a large treatment area.
Demand was high for the five Doctors of Chiropractic administering K-Laser treatments, and there was frequently a waiting line. On Saturday, a video crew recorded testimonials from highly satisfied K-Laser Doctors, as well as from the patients being treated in the booth. "I can't believe what the K-Laser has done for my practice!" commented one DC, "It is phenomenal!"
K-LaserUSA will continue Setting the Standard in Class 4 Laser Therapy, and also at future FCA events. The company will exhibit at all 2011 locations, culminating in the 2011 FCA Annual which will be at the Peabody Hotel.

NY Yankee Trainers use the K-1200 |
|
The New York Yankee trainers have been using the K-Laser K-1200 Class IV Therapy Laser since Spring Training 2010. Pictured in the Yankee training room with the K-1200 are Gene Monahan, Head Trainer; Dr. Richard Albright, K-LaserUSA President; Dr. Phil Harrington and Steve Donohue, Assistant Trainer.
Donohue commented that they use the K-Laser daily in the Yankee training room - and thanks to the exclusive onboard battery power, they even treat players with the K-Laser in the airplane. Donohue commented, "I would recommend the K-Laser to ANY athletic trainer" and then he jokingly added "...except those in Major League Baseball."
The New York Yankees are the most successful franchise in professional baseball, and arguably in the world of professional sport. And the addition of a K-Laser is further testament to their continued commitment to excellence.

Can Laser Therapy Damage Tissue |
|
The K-Laser is a Class 4 therapy laser. Lasers are classified 1,2, 3a, 3b, and 4 by their potential for damage to the eye in the event of exposure to direct of reflected beams.
This classification scheme is unfortunate, because biostiimulatory lasers like the K-Laser are class 4 - and so are surgical lasers and other lasers that cut or ablate tissue. Class 4 therapy lasers apply a therapeutic dosage to a large volume of tissue in a short period of time.
Sadly, competing low-powered laser companies try to confuse people about the science of lasers. Can laser therapy damage tissue? This article in the January 1, 2010 issue of Dynamic Chiropractic addresses this issue.
